Totally just applied to be a ‘producer-type person’ for Project 52 oh my god.

I was on the train between Blacktown and Strathfield recently, and something amazing happened. Strangers. Interacted. With. Each. Other. I know, it’s a shocking thing, but it happened…

When I got on, there were a couple of kids in the vestibule who I later found out (through eavesdropping on their conversation), didn’t actually know each other. They’d decided to make friends because they’d noticed that they were each carrying a guitar. Next thing you know, they’re jamming away on the train, singing each other songs and improvising harmonies, both vocal and on guitar. It was honestly amazing, and I must say they were both so talented! They finished off with a gorgeous rendition of “This Love” by Maroon 5, seriously awesome.

So on the same day, as I was on the train from Strathfield to Central, the same thing happened! Strangers interacting! I don’t know if it was because I was in a super good mood after witnessing the impromptu jamming sesh that morning but as I was on the train, the guy next to me started up a conversation. We ended up chatting about his work (he’s a welder and had just been in Wollongong for three months on contract), my work (I’m in admin and data entry) and the weather (so sunny and warm compared to the rest of the week). Gotta love people who actually want to be friendly. Such a good day and I wasn’t even halfway through it yet! J
